So this is the first time I have been able to blog since I have gotten to Brazil, I just missed the last Communication Day (which are Saturday mornings), so I have a lot to catch up on. I thought I would start blogging by saying what I have learned since I have gotten here.

1. Belo Horizonte (where we are living in Brazil) is in the mountains.
2. Because we are in the mountains we drive on mountain roads. It is terrifying. The roads are just gradual enough so our car doesnt topple over.
3. Brazilian drivers are just as terrifying.
4. I feel like I am on a constant StrairMaster, there is no flat land here, we are always climbing up and down hills.
5. The dirt here is a rusty red
6. Becuase the dirt is a rusty red our feet are always various shades of rusty red, and it doesnt come off!! No matter how much you wash your feet.
7. Brazilians will insist on talking to you even though you have tried to explain multiple times you dont know portugese. So then you are forced to have a conversation in broken English and Portugese and various hand gestures.
8. I am getting really good at painting.
9. I am getting really sick of oatmeal.
10. God is so needed here
11. God is working in me and I pray to become more and more His servant
