Have you ever?

So I figured this would be a good chance to write about some of the things I’ve already had the opportunity to do while in Brasil. Some pretty awesome stuff, some scary stuff, but all amazing experiences in my book! So here goes nothing! Have you ever… –          Gotten stuck in a city, where no one speaks your language, and had no translator? –          Hiked through the jungle, cutting your way through with only machetes?...

Things I’ve learned in Brazil

So this is the first time I have been able to blog since I have gotten to Brazil, I just missed the last Communication Day (which are Saturday mornings), so I have a lot to catch up on. I thought I would start blogging by saying what I have learned since I have gotten here. Â 1. Belo Horizonte (where we are living in Brazil) is in the mountains. 2. Because we are in the mountains we drive on mountain roads. It is terrifying. The roads are just gradual enough so our car doesnt topple over. 3. Brazilian drivers are just as terrifying. 4. Working Paradise

If I had to pick one word for where we are staying it is this: paradise. It is absolutely beautiful down here, or rather up here since we are below you on the map but up in the mountains here. The view that I see out of my window every morning when I first wake up is of the valley stretched out before me. So, Brazil

So here I am in Brazil, or as they write it here Brasil:) This will be my second attempt to write this, so lets pray this will work! Wow, so alot has happened since training camp! From spending 21 hours in the Atlanta airport, needless to say we got to know that airport very well. We slept on the airport floor for maybe 3 hours? Then flew to Maimi, and then onto our 9 hour flight to Sao Palo. Where we spent our whole time waiting for our luggage, and missed our flight. Then we found out that the people told us wrong and we didn’t need to wait for our luggage because it was already on...

You thought the U.S. had some crazy drivers…

So we've officially been in Brazil for 5 days, but it feels like it's been weeks! Our first day here, Paul, our missionary contact came and picked us up from the airport in Belo Horizonte, and THAT is where the real adventure started. We got to Paul's property about an hour after leaving the airport, and the beauty of this place was phenomenal! The first day here we were able to rest and become adjust to the slight time difference, which was nice after over 2 days of travel! After our first day here, we were able to get to see some of...
